NEWS FLASH: Victory for TCFC Members and TUCSON!!!
CAMPING BAN ADOPTED IN WASHES AND PARKS
After three years of grassroots organizing and a previously failed attempt, the Tucson Crime Free Coalition is proud to announce a major step forward.
Finally the Mayor and Council are listening to their constituents, and we thank our members for never giving up. Your persistence made this victory possible.
Together, we speak with one voice for public safety, accountability, and a community where everyone can thrive.

Thats fantastic, however, They passed a ban on median begging, Tucson Police does not have enough staffing to enforce it. Now City Clowncil pass a new ban on parks and washes. Great, who is going to enforce it? There still the issue of the homeless. Many dont want to go to shelters (they have to give up their drugs/alcohol/lifestyle/freedoms as they claim) The City needs to stop throwing these things on Tucson Police but rather use their own homeless outreach people and other community groups like it, to go get these people out of the hot sun. Tucson wastes so much money on equity and DEI stuff and their pet projects.. How about they coordinate with all their made up programs and let them enforce the bans and provide the homes for these individuals.
Be careful of unintended consequences. These people aren’t going away. I suspect this will make them much more visible in the community. I’m sure folks will complain about that.
Thank you TCFC and Members. This is a huge win and hopefully the major sign of a turning point in the madness Mayor and Council have thrust upon our city.
Judy is right, so important to support Law Enforcement as this ban goes into effect. That is assuming Mayor and Council actually enforce their own laws. Law Enforcement wants to do their job and they do it well but Mayor and Council have a history of handcuffing them and saying they enforce.
Mayor and Council does what they want to suit their own agenda. This is why county dwellers are now looking at another water rate who have no representation in this matter. Another crime and another lawsuit needs to follow. https://www.kold.com/2025/06/18/tucson-city-council-approves-differential-water-rates-again/
