!!! Public Safety Alert !!! - From the Tucson Crime Free Coalition

TCFC is issuing this alert to inform our members of a growing and serious public safety concern that Mayor Regina Romero and the Tucson City Council are failing to address.

Earlier today, there was another violent hatchet attack at a public bus stop in Tucson. Two people were injured in the incident. TCFC is monitoring the situation and will provide more information as it becomes available.

This is not an isolated event. The City’s Free Bus Fare is facing significant safety issues. TCFC believes it’s time for riders to reconsider their options. If you must use public transit, please take precautions and remain highly alert at bus stops.

Here is a list of violent incidents that have occurred at or near Tucson bus stops in just the last five weeks:

The facts are clear: our bus stops are becoming danger zones. This is a direct result of failed leadership and refusal to take action on issues that matter to the safety of our residents.

Until our elected officials take responsibility and implement serious solutions, these attacks will continue.

Please stay aware, stay safe, and demand better for Tucson.

The elected public servants need to ride the free bus – after waiting at the bus stop – as part of their duty to the taxpaying city residents to better understand the “problem”. An experiential. Until they get a feel for the situation, they will not change anything.
